Brazil CPI Reaction: Inflation ticks higher, but expectations have steadied

Brazil’s inflation continued to rise at the headline and core levels in April. Key subseries like core services also increased (see chartpack for more). In general, the upward inflation trend has kept its momentum, although, importantly, expectations and market pricing have flattened or fallen.
