Filippo Mormando joined the Macro & Sovereign strategy team at BBVA in September 2022. He has an in-depth knowledge of the Italian financial market having previously worked in the Italian banking sector in a variety of roles in DCM, strategy and trading. Since 2018, he has collaborated as a Research Fellow with CRIEP (Interuniversity Research Centre of Public Economics) as a member of the financial market research team. He was also Adjunct Professor of Macroeconomics and Economics of Public-Private Partnership at LUISS University. He holds a Ph.D. in economics from the Università degli Studi di Padova with a thesis on the microstructure of financial markets. He has attended several international academic conferences as both a panelist and discussant.
